Michael Sloan Managing Director
As Managing Director of The Successful Investor, Michael brings 20 years of experience in finance and wealth creation. He is is the author of two books, The Formula to Successful Property Investing and Cracking the Real Estate Code. His articles appear on the National Australia Bank (NAB) website and he is regularly quoted in the media.
Michael says that all the lessons learnt from the past 20 years have come from his clients. It is those lessons that helped formulate his formula to successful property investing. Michael is passionate about the impact The Successful Investor can have on your life.
Before his transition to real estate, Michael enjoyed a successful career as a painter and decorator, building his own business in South Australia. He bought his first investment property in his 20’s and is happy to admit he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. His main focus in his career is to pass on the knowledge to his clients he wished someone taught him when he was younger. Michael is married to fellow TSI Director Laurel Sloan and together they have two sons Joshua, a school teacher and Xavier who also works at TSI.

On a personal level Michael is married to Laurel, they have two boys Joshua and Xavier and he lives in Fitzroy in Melbourne. He is a huge football (Soccer to some) fan and an avid supporter of Liverpool (where he was born) and Melbourne Victory.
